Echoes Of A Fading Self

Updated: Jul 14, 2025

Why have I become like this ?

This isn't what I wanted to be

I am not what I dreamed to be.

For what I dream was way too high,

my coward scared heart didn't even one's try.

A try which could have changed my life

my dream ,which deserve to be mine.

A hope which ones sparkled through my eye

is now buried in a coffin, we bid our final goodbye.

Life has been so empty lately ,I feel like a wheel

Just spinning around aimlessly not knowing what to feel.

My weary heart lies on a corner again.

Regret, anxiety and fear just reminds me of past pain,

a pain which never ever left my maze.

From "strong and bear" to "fear and disappear",

i changed my ways to handle my despair.

Those dreams which I once buried in month of May

when i close my eyes, they still haunt me everyday.

WHY?, My dreams asked with pain and tear

You left me, "Was I that hard to bear?"

Tears filled my eyes, still my words unspoken

For I know, I can never fix what is already broken.
