What comes to our mind when we think about learning? A school? Classroom and teachers? Or lots and lots of books? Even though all these are associated with learning, with the recent boom in technology, these books and classrooms seem to be more like old school. Now is the time of e-schools or online schools. And  e-learning takes place often via the Internet. So what exactly does e-learning of contemporary times looks like?

We live in a time where technology is constantly changing and we have to keep up with the changing times. The future features AI and supports self studying. The current education system will be gone and replaced with a skill-based education system. Physical notes are being replaced by digital notes. Exams will become digitalized and skill-based. People are able to learn what they want, when they want and for as long as they want. Although learning online has its own issues, it is being favored by the current generation, whose motto seems to be  "Work smart, not hard".

If someone were to tell us 10 years ago that we'll have online classes and video conferences, webinars instead of seminars, we would have found it difficult to believe. And yet, now we live in the exact same times. This e-learning are helping thousands of people acheive their dreams. What once was thought impossible to them, now has become a possibility. Many people, for whom learning was a far fetched dream, now has the world at their fingertips. For those who want an upgrade in their skills, who wants to learn along with working, who wants a change in their career, for all those individuals seeking something more, online platforms open up endless possibilities. From top Universities across the globe to the local colleges of our neighbourhood, e-learning is being made available to anyone and everyone with a heart that yearns to learn.
