dust on my diary

people being people have

left me numb and sore

lately I'm not able

to feel the warmth and cold

light in your eyes

life in your smile

dust on my diary

can't think of memories

dust on my diary

can't think of memorie

hate that people change

but don't want to stay in place

make me play pretend

even though it ends in pain

I'll play the ghost

haunting the house

I'll play the girl

who wears rings and remedies

but never treat herself

warmth of the sun

waves of the sea

dust on my diary

can't think of memories

dust on my diary

can't think of memories

holding my breath as the water fills in

and now its over the edge

floods the floor the room the house

and now it's all around

dust on my diary

can't think of memories

tears flowing rarely

I've been holding on barely
