Dreary Reality

Where does a person seek solace?
When safe place becomes the reason of distress.
Where does a person go to find bliss?
When a saviour bestows them with agony instead of peace.
Mother's unconditional love is a rare find,
Father's protection in today's world also goes for a grind.
Relatives supposed to stand with us in a tough time,
Cherish it most when we are submerged in grime.
Friends with whom we share our deepest secret,
Leave us questioning our choices and irreparable regret.
When we turn to teachers or gurus for guidance and enlightenment,
It proves to be a mirage, just another form of torment.
When we emotionally depend on a life partner to heal,
In today's time that's another ordeal.
An emptiness which we think that a child will fill,
Gives us the final lesson of life, expectation will always be an upheaval.

These circumstances are much relevant in today's world, yet most people remain as reticent while poem is something which turn out be a solution for the hidden confessions of a being. The poem is exquisitely crafted fondling every core of my bossom.
