Dreams

Waking up from my dreams

Brushing my teeth,

Having my breakfast,

And sitting at my desk for hours.

I seem to be stuck

At the same place,

Unable to move forward,

Unable to change,

Unable to think.

What have I become?

I remember when I knew my books by word,

I remember when maths was fun,

I remember when Science used to amaze me,

I remember when I wasn’t crushed

By the stress of my very own books

What Is happening?

I have a lot of friends,

People I can trust on,

A loving family,

But still, something feels wrong,

Is this my reality?

In the evening,

I get up from my desk,

To go for a walk,

But I can’t think

Of anything else,

Except for my future

What can I do?

I realise it’s night already,

Another day has passed,

What have I accomplished?

I’m unable to sleep,

Because I know,

Once I sleep,

I wouldn’t want to escape my dreams,

Where I can be what I want to be,

I can do what I want to do,

They’re better than my reality,

But nevertheless,

I woke up again.
