Dreams

I was born yesterday,

With a seed in my mind.

With a hope of possibilities, And

trust in divine.

Regardless of the age,

I had energy and time.

Any dream could be chased after, Every

cloud had a silver line.

Today, I am deprived of time,

My energy and youth,

Utilised in chasing after every dime.

Still the fire of passion ignited in me,

I wish for a secure future,

For my family and mine.

Tomorrow I would become a raw soldier.

Who could take out time,

Who could have fought the battles,

And earned something more than a dime.

My energy would restrict me,

And I’ll be left with age and time.

Drowning in the thoughts of remorse,

I would wish,

I could shine…
