I am not a poet,

Just someone who dreams of poetry

Believing the words I write

Are whispers etched in ink.

No grand story to tell

No profound words to share-

Just an ordinary soul,

With an unremarkable dream

Of becoming a poet.

A poet who is seen,

A poet who is cherished

A poet who learns to love

And to be loved in return.
