Do i dread death?

Original Submission by Marco Gerrit Schoeman

The sunset seems slow.

Do i dread death, indeed i do,but lord don’t let me go.

I enjoy good travel, but that’s a one way trip

I don’t have that courage right now

The moon moves above, it mocks me i’m certain,

Teasing the time, troubling my mind, I closed the curtain.

Alone in darkness, I lack daylight.

Absence is what defines.

Life with no living is dying by design

Do I dread death, indeed I do, but to live is to defy.

For I could be what is expected, but oh my, why would I?

It’s not living, it’s serving what others think you should be.

As long as I'm alive I'll defy what I should be, and be what I am.

Me.

Do I dread death, indeed i do, but i continue to defy.

A light shines through my curtain.

The sun rises rather quickly, for dawn defies the darkness.
