“Divine Judgment”

An unruly violence bestowed by violent men.

Men who seek not purity and honor,

Men who seek pleasure and power.

Men who are not warriors.

Men who are thieves,

But only worthy to flames.

Flames that haunt the village.

That slaughter the women,

That eat away the cattle.

When shall these men be eaten by those flames?

The same flames that consumed many?

When shall they not be absent?

Absent of punishments,

Absent of judgements,

Absent of consequences.

The violence has been repeated.

A rhythm yet to be broken,

As children are slain.

This waiting aches me.

No longer…

Oh divine, please do not soften the punishment

for my hatred and impatience.

For I can wait no longer

No longer to witness their judgement.

Oh divine, I draw my blade.

For I confess…

I confess I slay not only to avenge.

But as an act of vengeance.

A deed that deems not forgiveness.
