Disonance

Dead-wood she lay-

looking to empty skies

with not a single star in sight,

awaiting her ship lost at stormy seas.

Even amidst the sea

she saw a mirage-

The waves appeared to advance

in truth the sand only receded-underneath her feet.

Like a child yearning the moon

Like Diona waiting,

she waited and watched…

as water lapped her ears,

soothing knotted nerves.

Bats shrieked-

the disonance sounded

like nails on a chalk board.
