Discovered, In Dusk
By Bismay Rath
Witness I was to sundry sunsets,
Assenting of eternal night as my destiny,
But came a sylph of effulgent light,
Muffling my solitude, sits to sedate me with euphony.
Like the reaping of a pined harvest,
When glee adorns the hearts of many,
Elation in unison, abounding ecstasy,
The passage within prances upon untold agony.
O Sun, I answer my own lunacy-
For you are the furthest from falls,
An eternal gale glances upon me-
Fair and flavoured by your frostbite,
A crevasse I craved longer than I admit,
Was clustered at last, with illustrious shoals rippled by thee.
Once the wind, so scantily known,
Now holds sway over my soul,
Hints at hope of your musings,
Of me, and of you as my own.
Am I to be the moon, or mercury?
Which passes off as proximity?
Or I could be a clover in a prairie,
Eager and assured to be found by thee.
Donning a robe of blinding luminosity,
A curve on your countenance smites all sorrow,
Exists no auroral more resplendent than you,
A bout of gazes would last till the last tomorrow.
In meadows camouflaged by the cold,
We bounce and sprint with incandescent glee,
A vixen and her fox trotting sprightly along,
Daring to attain the bosom of eternity.
