Difference Is For A Reason

Let me just be, the god's child that I am,

Just stop with your opinions, and let me be calm.

My faith means no harm, it only preaches eternal love.

Just like your faith, it teaches to believe in good morals.

Man created differences, the divide, and the war.

He also induced pain, inhumane actions which went too far.

You say this land is yours, and kill our children with ammunitions.

It’s all coming back to you, the reckoning and recompense.

For once, if you could ask yourself, how can we make it better.

For once, if you could question your conscience, that’s slipped into slumber.

We believe in the same idea, that humanity is universal.

Why would you want then, children to be slaughtered?

If only you had shared, the same ideas and thoughts,

Our children could’ve lived in peace, and never would’ve fought.

Progress will come, the worldly pleasure will be yours.

But don’t let the innocent go down, that’s not really what you want.

We are all created alike, with blood, veins and flesh,

We all have faith in each other, and are work in progress.

But why do these brothers frame the innocent, and turn their backs.

In time you will realize, understanding is what they lack.

Ask yourself, why can’t you stand the color of my skin,

My clothes don’t appeal to you; and my talks are sin.

Don’t misunderstand me, just give me a chance,

Don’t judge me by my cover, try to hear me out.

There’s a reason, why God brought us from diverse backgrounds,

Ponder on this, the purpose is yours to search,

Let’s all unite, and pray we find,

The peace and harmony again, amongst the people of earth.
