Desire

i think i’ll write about romance for the rest of my life

i’ll read it, too

even when i find myself a lover, i’ll read it

in her eyes

i’ll live it through the smell of her hair and

know it from her electric touch

right now the hunger burns me

i’m seventeen and drunk on the media i consume

bodies drive me wild with desire but there

are no bodies desiring me like that

how do you manage?
