Demons That Surround Me

And yet again she is bullied,

her faith in humanity gets buried.

Brutally beaten, eyes all swollen,

no one cares for the tears that have fallen.

“What do I do? What’s my mistake?

Do all the girls bear the same fate?”

She curses herself for being born a girl,

hardly knowing she’s a shining pearl.

She has to build herself even stronger,

to fight against all the skin mongers.

They all assume that she is weak,

but she’s no less than a lightning streak.

To all the demons, she has ordered,

to not cross any limit or border.

She’ll not keep shut, she’ll not

sit and wait.

She’ll not let her dignity be at stake.

For she’s a pearl,

whose shine never goes.

And remember, a lightning streak

can ruin all its foes.
