dum jo humne bhara to saanse bhar gayi

phool si nazuk kali hai wo

dekh jise har raah-guzar aanhein bharta hai

kaash ke wo kali humare gulistan mein khili hoti

dekh jise nigaahen tham gayi

dekh use kadam zameen ho gaye

raah ke kaante bhi phool lagne lage

faza ke aagosh mein hum bhi kahin kho gaye

tamanna hai ke use bhi apne aks mein utaare

falak ke sitare bhi saare be noor ho gaye

dekh jise kadam zameen ho gaye

dekh use hum bezubaan parinde ho gaye

alfaaz saare labon pe theher gaye

kehni thi jo baatein use

saamne aate

hi uske hum but ban gaye

alfaaz na sahi nazron ne bhi de diya dhokha

uske aage aankhon ka noor bhi kahin kho gaya

dekh jise hum bezubaan parinde ho gaye
