Defying The Prevailing Genesis

Want to live like the boys

And don’t want those girlish toys

Don’t want to talk only about kitchens

Also want those car key chains

Don’t want those lectures on in-laws

And want to live like a human with flaws

Just don’t want to be surrounded by four walls

And don’t want to live like the dolls

Want to reach great heights of success

And want to live like a princess

Don’t want those old customs

And want to live on my own terms

If we stay out after 12 at night

Then the scolding would be as harsh as a dog’s bite

Whenever something has to be bought

Boys are the ones to be caught

We don’t get freedom

And live life very seldom

Fed up of this and want a change

But I alone cannot break the cage

I need you and I need you too

As no one knows what we are going through

 And want to have a change very soon!
