Death and Life

Death awaits,

Life isn't letting go.

He's beautiful and frenzied,

She's hideous and apathetic.

His aura comes from the souls he collects.

Her aura deteriorates as she clings.

Death's known to be the kindest,

Life's known to be the harshest.

At the beginning,

Death confronts.

At the end,

Life accepts.

Yet the people who accept him are considered cowards.

And the people who accept her are brave warriors.

"Why is that?”, the little ones ask.

Their curiosity piqued.

''Because they don't recognize the worth of the experience''

Time, the ever old one explains.
