Dear Patience

You have been a constant companion,

Always by my side,

Swinging with me to & fro,

Wherever life glides!

There are times when I lose you,

But you make sure to find your way back,

With you, you bring a sense of tranquility,

For in your absence, that’s the only lack!

You are so quiet that I hardly notice your presence,

There are times I even question the relevance of your existence,

May be that in itself is an important life lesson!

Dear Patience,

It’s hard to always hold on you,

At times I feel my reward is due,

But neither you, nor I decide on that,

And ‘dear life’ isn’t open for a chat!

So let’s hold each other’s hand,

For you will help me withstand,

Everything that’s unplanned,

Together you & I shall stand!
