A few times i nearly lost my life before it began
As a child, and now still
I’ve always been curious
Often separated from the group to explore, intoxicated by it’s allure
Shortly after the sun fell, i began my quest
While my dad was busy I was consumed, restless
Debauchery is timeless
Mischief afoot, that is me
Wandering around to find horizontal cemented cylinders with the moon’s reflection rippling underneath
Under the night sky I test my balance
Pace, back and forth
misstep then i descend into the water
Blanket of silence covers the night, but my body pierces it with it screams and cries
The cold grasp of the water envelopes me
Constricting, my body slowly
Sinking, The end is near
The night begins to cover me as well
Until I awake from its darkness
Looking upon the passerby whom halted my obituary
For the first time I see the light of day in the dark of night
Passerby, i wish we could meet so you could see what I’ve made of this life that you saved that night
