 Dear Nightfall,

Do not wait for me no more,

I have left my throne,I shant rise with the dusk,

For the stars have left

I cannot shine without

their glimmerI would miss their patterns

I would miss gentle eyes gazing

up at them

Dear Nightfall,

do not show me pity

do not wish me well

do not hold my hand as I dim

I am not worthy of what I have

not of your dark, warm veil

Dear Nightfall,

do not grieve me,

for I will be reborn down on the soil, and I will

look up at you and think,

‘My Dear Nightfall

I shall return,

one day or the other,

back to the stars and moons

I will be with you.’
