Dear Distant Friend

You came into my life one day,

When I thought no one would stay.

Two lives became one, so near.

Your laughter still brings me cheer.

From sharing emotions, raw and true.

To carrying memories, old and new.

Through a bitter day and the endless night.

Your words still guide me toward the light.

The joy we shared is in my heart,

Even though now we’re far apart.

Through the empty room left behind,

But you’ll never leave my mind.

The place we lived feels strange and new,

A distant city without you.

Saying goodbye was hard for me.

Your teary eyes are all I see.

Don’t let those tears take our light, Our memories will keep shining bright.

I promise you, we’ll meet again,

And when we do, everything will feel the same again.
