Daydreaming
By Shatakshi Srivastava
Sitting like this staring at the moon
My heart sings a beautiful tune
A person I can’t get out of my mind
His characteristics start to fill my mind soon.
Cause in the silence of these secluded nights
The only sound I crave for is his voice
There’s a certain melody in it which I love
Wanna hear it when I sleep and rise.
There’s just some magic in those eyeballs
The eyes which he says are very small
Only if he could see through my pair
I see my world in his, my all.
A smile on which I can die with peace
Feels like heaven to say at least
To stare at him forever is all I want to do
In a fraction of second my heart he can seize.
Nothing in this world can compare
The softest textures I feel in his hair
Just to run my fingers through them
I can give away my everything for all I care.
The fragrance in which I lose my senses
My heart flutters my brain flinches
At the impossibility of someone having such control over me
His existence makes me so overwhelmed, so intense.
His talks can make me listen for years
Still with him even hours feel mere
I don’t care if he talks senseless or intellectual
Even his hii can make my soul cheer.
I’m so in love that my heart jumps when his notification chimes
Love his presence so much that I want him near all the time
I wish to spend my dawns and dusks with him everyday
Not just confined in the reveries of my head but always as mine.
My comfort character, on whom I can always lean
Him watching, caring, loving me, I’ve always seen
He can make me laugh too but my favourite is
Arms around me in an embrace making me feel the safest I’ve ever been.
I can go around this topic forever
Speaking about him – my favourite-est thing ever
But maybe I can use this time to talk to him directly?
Each moment with him, I’d like to savour.
