'Darkness and Light' is another interpretation of Jordynn's mind and her interpretations of anger, confusion, and hopelessness. Inspired by current political events here in America and the fear of uncertainty.

The solid black background of the painting represents 'darkness' while the mix of color represents 'light'. The messiness of the different textures and materials show us that sometimes our attempts in pursuing hope in this life can look awkward and uncoordinated, but even in that we must still move forward ("Nevertheless, she persisted" as written in top right corner). Sometimes it can even become a oddly beautiful thing.
