Dancing to Silence

I crossed paths between fate and eternity

My mind, bewildered!

A choice I ask myself

Would fate foretell fortune,

Would eternity do the same?

Tonight, I wish to write the saddest lines

But my head is heavy

My heart, torn apart.

The moon might understand me

For it has lost its guiding light.

The air is chilly and cold

Like a frozen heart I own.

It's dark, a time of rest

And it's quiet

Like a grave.

My feet are still

They do not wish to dance

In the powerful silence.

And my lashes unite.

I sit alone, in tears.

The stars flaunting their brightness

While the moon remains hidden-

Time is not right sometimes

But i wish to ignite

At all times!

This desire of mine

Cannot always come true.

The moon will stay hidden

In time,

It will ignite too.

I dance to myself sometimes

But tonight, I cannot.

I want to dive into a dance,

That isn't merely reduced to footsteps

On this quiet and starry night!

I want to dance

But not that which you can see

A dance of realization

In the loudest silence

That ever be.

I dance to silence

In this faint and silent night

I have no one to dance with

So I dance in solitude

I sit still and this is my dance!
