Daddy

Why you always shutting me out?

Daddy

When I ask you a question

all you give me is one word answers

Daddy

I try to talk to you

But i don't have the words

Cos there's this chasm between us

I'm always chasing

I grip onto your shirt

So you can pull me along

My fingers slips

And I've lost you to the crowd

Daddy

Why you always shutting me out?

No literally you shut the door in my face

And leave me outside with tears streaming down my face

I'm knocking on your door

Crying for you to let me in

Daddy

Daddy is sorry

Daddy is trying

Daddy isn't perfect

Can we start again?
