Cycle Of Life

The clock starts ticking for him

As the little one swaddled in muslin

With such beautiful, flawless skin

Presents to the world his very first grin!

The number adds further

As the infant chews on his teether

With lesser sleepless nights for his mother

But him, eating all, from plastic to leather!

Seasons keep coming and going

Around the house, the toddler's now running

Like a sponge absorbs water,

The Universe he's absorbing!

Years sure do pass

As the teenager sets off

To be top of his class

To work on building blocks of life

That take him to his passion!

Few more years add up

The handsome young man

Makes his mind up

And goes with the flow

As responsibilities swell up!

And the numbers rise

As he becomes more wise

His world grows before his eyes

As he deals with life's lows n highs

Calendar pages change

As movements become of lesser range

He becomes a little dependant

As functions of the brain start to derange.

From dust we come,

Into dust we go

The cycle of life,

Noone can ever forgo!
