Crumbling Demeanour

On a random Wednesday, I saw the ceiling of the bathroom crumble to the ground,

“Out of the blue, it fell” my family

 Frowned;

Only if they didn’t fail to notice the cracks there,

I know it could’ve been saved with a little care.

It was a close call, no one shed any blood amid the chaos,

But Against my heavy lids, a few chunks of plaster feel so sparse.

The house is catching up to us, it's gradually losing its anchor,

And I wonder how it would've felt being under something heavier than my mother's tears and my father's anger.

I wish they understood my deep connection with these crumbled remnants,

For the debris in my being chokes my throat like cursed pendants.

But before the ceiling of my demeanour falls,

I will make sure no one feels the weight of these walls.
