Crown

By Peehu Jaiswal

No one loves like her

Selfless yet retrained

Unconditional yet binding

The way she uses me to feed her soul

As I continue to do what I’m told

Rules are to be changed as long as she seems fine

Every lie is a truth as long as she is lying

That never happened, you must remember it wrong

I could never cause you that kind of harm

You are never good enough

Always a scope to be better

I could be a rose

But to her thorns are all that would matter

The sacrifices way me down

As I still look for approval form the crown

Always lend a ear, listen to what I say

Even if it burdens your soul do it my way

I gave birth to you cause of me you are alive

It’s only fair you don’t have a choice

I could open my heart and love you all I want

But u would only see my wrongs

Loving you is the most destructive thing I do

I wonder

When will this cycle to come to an end

When will I not owe you anything…?
