Crocodile Tears

By N.V.Krishna

"Crocodile tears" flow, a deceptive art,

A cunning nature, a two-faced heart.

They weep for show, with no true pain inside,

Hypocrisy's mask, where dark intentions hide.

To trust their words, a fool's embrace,

For truth is absent, leaving empty space.

Believe them not, their motives deeply flawed,

A web of lies, by their own hand defiled.

A jealousy burns, beneath their feigned delight,

At others' joys, they fester in the night.

So keep your triumphs, shielded from their gaze,

Lest envy's poison, your happiness erase.

They'll bend and bow, when need becomes their guide,

With feigned devotion, by your very side.

Their humble posture, a strategic ploy,

To gain advantage, or to then destroy.

Beware the smiles that mask a hidden sneer,

The hollow words, that whispers in your ear.

For "crocodile tears" are never truly shed,

But instruments of malice, widely spread.

They'll praise your strengths, then subtly undermine,

Their false support, a carefully laid design.

They'll listen close, to every whispered plan,

Then use your hopes, to shatter and to ruin.

Their promises, like mist upon the air,

Dissolve to nothing, leaving only despair.

So guard your heart, and let your wisdom steer,

From those whose kindness, brings forth only fear.

Their twisted dance, a performance well-rehearsed,

Leaving behind a trust completely shattered.

And when you rise, despite their hidden strife,

They'll watch with envy, from the shadows of their life.

For "crocodile tears" conceal a bitter sting,

A silent wish, that nothing good you bring.

Yet let their veiled malice pass you by,

Your triumph's brilliance reaching for the sky.
