Cozy days as it stayed

You know one thing people would say

"One day you're on top of the world

The next theyre scraping the pavement

for your body to prepare for your wake"

Never fails to amaze.

After a while of Sally's waiting

Schools are open, so does college;

Back to where we started,

Met her on the same stairs

I waited for her on our first date.

Sort of embarassed she was,

her friends are around and shes unsure

"Are we cool?" or "not at all"

Sorry to be cliché

But Reality says

you never cease to take my breath away

Pre-concieved ideas I've had you sway aside,

This time around in our downtime;

Told me she had a man

but that we could still could hang around.

My mind's in doubt as it's Against my morals

and it's unfair for her date in hand;

Told me he's just a distraction.

We have similar bad traits no questions asked,

but the Crorepati question is,

"Am I really veering down the selfish path

yet again?"

It's time I make clear of

the steps I'll take,

To Always have your back or

fly to the moon and back

with no strings attached.

You put me in a place of indecision,

but you need to make your mind quick too,

Time keeps on ticking.

Yet, These are still the better days I'll be missing.

So there we were,

back together again

One of the best days I've had

Is when I'm with you

You liked having me around campus,

I sure did love showing you off too

Coutless photoshoots,

pretend professionals,

My supermodel? always you

I'd be lying if I ever denied that

Bunking or class-less days when you came over:

Blasted my woofers

And when our favorite song was on

Heads nodding, vibing goes on

Heart to heart talks after we tire

Remembering how they went so far

We didn't even care its dark or not

Just chatting there,

Middle of my bed

Deep down in my head, I know,

I had alot to call my own.

We patched up walls and hung up posters

We had so much fun,

Maybe just too much

Too much fun it's never enough,

So next time the song asks

"Have you ever seen the rain,

raining down on a sunny day?"

We'll get to say 'yes'

As our final moments of pain and pleasure

Was representative of an inevitable demise,

A demise of something we know we tried

As We both embrace our presence

with the impending breakup in mind

Pro-choice but may have made the wrong one

Broad array of choices but probably the best one

Tell myself the war and the match is won

At the end of the day, we kept ourselves warm

Not sure what's ahead,

but I'm glad we can take forward steps

As the opposite of love is indifference.
