Conviction

Thought this was it

and all I would be.

Crawling under the shadows

was meant for me.

As the hours went by

felt something bothering me.

Perched on my tenders

nibbling, were thee.

Thought I'll shake you off

and go on about.

My lonely day

till the sun was out.

But your gentle persuasion

Slowly grew on me.

Filled me with longing

Made me fonder of thee.

Thought I'll bear you flowers

and our bond will grow deeper.

But then came august

and I was just a creeper.

Blinded by obsession

Didn't notice you grew wings.

For I was just not content

With few little things.

I should be happy

to see you fly.

While stuck in despair

Yes i'll give it a try.s

The itching impression you left,

reminding me of the short lived joy.

I'm afraid will turn into a wound

By the time you say goodbye.

But can't stay this way longer

I'll need to reboot.

Shall grow my roots stronger

Find my own pursuit.

Learning to climb up against the earth.

Won't care for whatever it's worth.

From fences to towers I will soar high.

I won't beg for any wings to fly.

And they'll cheer me up

while watching me rise.

As I strive to see what it's all about

from up there with my own eyes.

With all the beauty around on a clear day

I'll see you gracefully flapping away.

Happy to see you with your own kind.

I'll only have gratefulness on my mind.

It will all make sense.

It will all be fine.

I'll take a breath

and continue my climb.
