CONDITIONAL LOVE

A child troubled by the rat race of life and stuck between the fear of living to fulfil conditions and the fear of fulfilling conditions to live, writes over how people have materialised life forgetting its true purpose and and how it wounds tender hearts hence advising them to run away…..

They gave me a name,a place to live,

a part to play and so much back to give

They had a house and called it home,

deep inside they all knew it never felt their own

They made big promises and gave big hopes,

Only to end up with their fan hanging ropes

They tried to live their dreams through my eyes,

but eyes filled with anger and all their lies

They always taught us that love had conditions,

but forgot how conditions always prevailed our ambitions……

Now they have all that they once desired,

only because their children were some professionals they hired

They seem happy in their lives,

but do they even see their own wives

They say that the cover is the only way to judge the book,

because who has the time to make an inside look

But inside my dear is a different world,

Away from reality away from pleasures pearled

A place where all that glitters isn't gold,

A place where people's dreams aren't sold

A place where conditions don't exist,

A place you don't survive to resist

So when you run away to this place,make sure you don't come back
