Cold Raindrops

By Gurpreet Kaur

You felt like drizzle,

Of that day,

When I learned to smile,

For the first time,

Even when,

I was shivering with cold.

You don't spark a fire,

In my soul,

As it was already raging,

Enough to destruct.

You are like those cold raindrops,

That simmers down my fire,

But with the breezy winds,

That will never let it die too.

You disappears,

Just like the sun before rain,

Leaving my soul,

More beautiful than before,

Just like the glistening rain drops,

On the leaves,

With an earthy smell,

Resembling to my safe place,

To squeeze my heart,

With love for you.
