Homeless people are like roses with many thorns of life challenges that make them end up on the street. Many people see them as specks of dirt on the street and seldom take notice of them. Come Christmas time, charity organisations and governments open up their halls to shelter homeless people because they believe it is not good for anyone to be alone on Christmas day. Many churches host Christmas lunches for people experiencing homelessness, and there is usually an outpouring of donations and support to help homeless services agencies such as shelters, drop-in centres and meal service programmes. “…Goodwill to all men” should be for 365 days of the year, not only for Christmas Day. Care for the homeless people should be every day, not only on Christmas day, which is the message of this painting “COLD, OLD and LONELY.”
