In the cozy café, our eyes first met

"Hi, sorry for the wait," said I, a nervous fret

"You look good," I said with a shy smile

Your presence alone made the moment worthwhile

"What'll you have?" I asked, breaking the ice

"Coffee for me," you said, all warm and nice

"I'll have tea," I replied, feeling light

As we settled in, for our date's delight

"What do you do?" you asked, making conversation

I shared my story, you shared your passion

In that little café, amid cups and chatter

We found a connection that seemed to matter

As the evening passed by, in laughter and ease

We cherished the simplicity, with hearts at peace

For in that first date, so palpable, so true

Lay the start of something special, between me and you
