Clouds

I closed the curtains at night
Opened them when the sun shone.

Staring through the window,
Disgusted,
Day and night, I kept the curtains closed.
I kept it shut,

through the gaps,
Through the gaps I could see the leering clouds.

It stopped the moon from shining.
Something had to be done!
I shut the windows with wooden panels
They still stared
Taped the curtains together,
They still stared
Built a wall brick by brick,
They still stared.
Those grim, disgusting, psychotic clouds wouldn't stop staring!
I finally did find the solution!
I gouged my eyes out.
The blood dripping,
I finally smiled as those clouds wept.
I had finally managed to find the solution.
Oh! How I wish I could end my story there.
But I felt their piercing presence even after all this.
Those wretched clouds resumed staring as soon as they finished bursting with laughter.
I had lost.
I had lost this long-fought battle;
