Cloud

By Ekta Pandey

There’s a guy I know,

Like the wind, he lingers unseen,

 always there, a silent dream.

He carries the grief, the joy, the hopes untold,

A silent bearer of stories bold.

His whispers sound like the soft rustling of leaves,

and his touch feels like a soothing dream.

His light-woven veil holds the luminescence of a summer's eve, And his smile, a sunbeam's golden gleam.

He smells like the first rain, fresh and divine,

A hidden cloud in my heart's skyline.

The one I wish would always stay,

A silent promise that won't decay.

And when he's near, the world stops seething,

every breath feels worth breathing.
