Caption Of Artwork: This is snapshot from a bengali film called chokher bali, in which the main lead Aishwarya Rai or Binodini is burning the evidence of her having chocolates. This movie is adapted from the Novel with same name by Rabindra Nath Tagore. Binodini is a widow, and this scene depicts the sadness and emptiness that she had to face as a widow in older times. She was not allowed to have anything flavourful, hence she burns the chocolate wraper that was given in by her old teacher. Her face shows innocence and is lit up the flame, she is wearing a white saree with tulsi mala, with no ornaments.

Painting is made on half imperial sheet, with watercolours and varnished.
