Deep in her eyes there was sorrow,

but she chose to live like there is no tomorrow.

She felt every quiver in her voice,

but to speak loudly was always her choice.

She had to strive for each and every breath,

but she chose to dare till her death.

She knew her trivial place in this earth,

but she fought to conquer ever since birth.

“The world is a cruel place” her heart moan,

but she saw the worst as just a stepping stone.

Every nook and corner there was death and violence,

but she learned to enjoy the sound of silence.

The war of life she fought in isolation,

the view of victory was her only salvation.
