Let us set the past on fire,

and watch it burn before our eyes.

We won't forget the lessons we've learnt,

we'll only let go of the lows to focus on the highs.

We have a whole future ahead of us,

yet we allow our bad memories to pull us down.

We will never be able to move forward,

if we don't lose things we once found.

The baggage we're forced to carry,

becomes heavier by the day.

Let us cut the ropes we hold onto,

and watch it promptly slip away.

By the time the pain turns to joy,

our vision would already be adjusted to the dark.

We'd be able to see through the hurt and the lies,

and lay our trauma to rest in our childhood park.
