Even the Crows Refuse Me (31/05/2026)

When a crow takes a bite out of my flesh,

its beak will stain black from my tainted blood.

The fluid is the poison that I was born with,

for it has been killing me from the start.

I am so far gone that transfusions wouldn't work,

it has soaked into my tissues, engulfed my soul.

My eyes are windows to the darkness that exists within,

even with contacts, its prominence is out of control.

If a crow were to feast on my corpse,

it would spit me right out, horrified by its taste.

I'd take no offense, I have always known,

I should die with a warning tied around my waist.

I can say in complete confidence, without the caution,

no crow would approach this rancid buffet.

My body would remain in one piece, untouched,

no one would want a body already dead in decay.

Death himself would hesitate to near me,

does this mean I might live forever?

Immortality is my punishment for sins I did not commit,

I am sentenced to continue this torture.
