Chaos

This is something I wrote after the end of my long-term relationship.

The palpitations of the heart,

The noise in the brain

It doesn’t kill you,

Well for the most part.

The breaking of reverie by a crash of reality

The soothingness of trust replaced by the thunder of doubt

It doesn’t finish your life,

Well not according to technicality

The gentle breeze of companionship

Blown away by the tornadoes of loneliness

It won’t be fatal

Not exactly in a blip

The vermilion of the sunset washed away by the blackness of the sky

The ray of light scared away by the thunderstorm

Don’t be afraid,

you won’t literally die

The serenity of love, washed over by the will to hate

The ataraxia of intimacy, overcome with the feeling of contempt

The love is gone,

with the wind of fate

The chaos hasn’t replaced the peace within,

The search will be dreadful, but not in vain

The beginning is scary, but end won’t be a bane

It might be blurry now, but the moon is hiding just beneath the cloud

It’s noisy now, the end won’t be so loud.

Embrace the chaos, both within and without.

Find love, not in someone else, but in yourself

There will be peace, not in the world, but in your mind

There will be chaos, but not the scary ones,

Stop running from them and they too will be beautiful

The mourning of the loss

It’s not the end

It’s not exactly the dream also

Not even the wildest dream

But it’s a chance,

A chance to rebuild

A castle from chaos
