Change That Changed Her

The branches have stopped shivering in delight

As the roots try pulling it with all its might

A gust of wind that usually aids the root to succeed

Indubitably, the leaves hold their ground to be freed

Shades of blue turning to shades of pink and then black

The leaves abandon the branches as the seasons track

New ones that grow with hope and faith of permanence

Trickle down as the spring turns to autumn providing impermanence.

She stood there with her blissful, unaware eyes teeming love

Imagine her standing there eternally and forever turtle dove

A wisp of pride and bountiful was her timeless grace

As she walks around me to venture and claim her space

Leaving behind a heart that ceases to exist and anger bubbles

With an array of new ones who break and mangle it into troubles

Each new day, the heart is calmed down and managed to smile

A faint remembrance through smile, smell, smite brings her back a while.

She would never know the exact nature of the constancy of her presence

Rooting for her even when she traipses into oblivion and distance

Harking like that moth that helps evade danger, she heard every word

When the leaves turned so did the actions that made the lines blurred

As the day draws the curtains close, the dark night settles in comfort

She beams with happiness as she enters and all that disappears is the hurt.
