Chand ki Tammanna

Aeisi hi haseen shaam thi wo

Poonam ka zard chand

Abhi abhi ufaq par ubhra tha

Aur -------

Maine usse paane ki Tammanna ki thi.

Awwaleen shaam ka wo zardi maayal chand,

Khud se chnd kadam ki dosti pe lagta tha!

Nazren uspar jamaye

Mai safar par nikal padi.

Bus chnd kadam aur --

Phir mai usse paa lungi,

Do – char kadam aur,

Phir mai usse chu lungi !

Mai uski Janib-

Barhti rahi , barhti rahi –

Wo ufaq par aur oocha

Uthta raha, uthta raha .

Lamha – lamha

Uski chandani me izafa hota raha.

Mere pairon ki thakan barhti rahi ----

Wo poori aabotaab ke saath

Ufaq par raushan tha

Uski chandani meri zulfon me utar aayi thi.

Apni la – haasil tammanna ka eitaraf kar –

Mai wapasi safar par nikal padi.

Jab palat kar dekha to—

Abke chand mere peeche- peeche tha !

Tab mujh par ye raaz khula—

Na zameen chand ko chu sakti hai

Na chand zameen par hi utar sakta hai !!!
