Butterfly and Hornet

By Pragati Banerjee

Once a butterfly and a hornet

Got into a debate.

Hornet said: You only have hues!

That is of no use.

You neither can sing

Nor can you sting.

Even an ant can bite;

But you can’t.

Butterfly, depressed, sat alone!

Mother Nature said: ‘you won’!

Hornet opposed: ‘Why Mother?

Mother said: ‘She helps to bloom the flower!

Spreading love is arduous than making a scar.

 Sting may be strong, but a tender touch is mightier!
