BUTTERFLIES.

You give me butterflies,

Got me falling at the deep end of my disguise,

Can’t get my heartbeat to synchronize,

When you’re where my heart lies.

I want to know where your love lies,

During the day and the night,

At the dawn of sunrise,

Your morning jog, the prettiest sight.

Your pretty blue belle eyes,

Are my rhythm and blues,

Disorient me without a clue,

Where the limit is the sky.

Yet the deepest shade of blue,

The only thing I know is true,

When you come out of nowhere,

And are suddenly in my head everywhere.

I’ll never get the courage to talk to you,

As my thoughts run through my mind,

And your eyes express words so kind,

I just wish I knew what you were into.

I wish I knew your hopes and dreams,

Or if we’d make a great team,

I never thought I’d fall for a brunette,

Who without fail makes my heart sweat.

Pining from afar seems wrong,

Yet you’ve evoked feelings in me so strong,

Feelings I never thought could exist,

Because you’re practically impossible to resist.

In another life you’re in love with me,

Just as I’m in love with you,

A hopeless romantic is all I’ll ever be,

Where my days begin and end with you.
