A candle illuminates the room a metaphor for impending doom The wax dripping

slowly disappearing

Why wasn’t I caring ?

Finger tip burns

slowly as the warm turns

into a cold mold

Even though it’s not gold

it’s something to hold

Really had me sold

by the stories you told

Forever maybe meant never thought I was clever

trying out this new endeavour thought we’ll stay together

And then the light completely died killed by all the tears cried Unable to hide

look at us side by side

The darkness was gentler because when we met her she hid our flaws

until she grew claws

that ripped away the cause

The missing piece

turned out to be a lease
