my heart mourned on the

last day of love 

the soil weeped for it had 

lost the grass

for the tree had lost the leaves

for the sky had lost the peace 

for the flower had lost the colour 

and this place just appears to be duller 

for the river that lost the water

for the father who lost his daughter

on the last day of love 

my heart mourned

as it is not ready to accept 

that this hellhole is where

they have grown
