Broken
By Sharon Mohan
In those perilous hours which seem endless,
She seeks the refuge of none;
She walks across her golden cage, circling her steps;
Over and over again;
Her heart racing,
In despair,
In doubt,
In absolute cluelessness;
Of the unknown tomorrow,
the uncertainties of which, have cast a stain on her soul;
She finally stops, her mind and heart
exhausted more than her feet;
Her eyes too tired to even get moist,
Her soul searching for answers;
Answers ---- which she doubts she'll ever receive
She sits down, her body and soul numb;
In trauma,
In agony,
In recurring pain,
In hopelessness,
In deep seated melancholy,
Her mind pulling away from even the close ones,
Soaked in the realisation of the futility of life,
She questions the reason for her living,
And accepts the worthlessness of herself;
That subtle faith in the unseen divine entity,
still lingers in a certain half of her bruised soul;
Holding her back.

The words, the feeling, are something that I cannot praise with words.
The words of a broken heart have beautifully come out through this poem.
I am in absolute love with this.
Keep it up, my lucky charm Sharon. ❤️✨

Silence between the words speaks loud.
