Nationalism is an old fever
gone viral for no greater interest
feeding the mind with a conventional hatred for others
seeding the roots with apartheid and religious intolerance.
It is more a pandemic than an epidemic
spread through generations of civilization
across times
raising a great wall of separation
that keeps us poles apart
administering a deadly venom
that has paralyzed the ongoing flow
of the fluid of human kindness
that once tied us tight
with the knot of universal brotherhood.
Why then the need of borders and boundaries
of fires and ceasefires
treaties and agreements in the winks of
the imperial BIG BROTHERS
shedding crocodile tears for disarmament and world peace?
Come out
Feel the pulse of the wind
that knows no limit
East or West
no border
no visa
no passport
no need of identity.
Lie prostrate with your smell-thirsty nostrils wide open
close to the green petals below
ready to cuddle her kids together.
Let us filter the wastes
detoxicate the century-old fluids
of hatred and discrimination
of substances defining you and me
in a process of dialysis:
Biological
Ethical
and
Temporal.
Let us
come under one roof
purged of differences and dimensions
look at the rising sun
piercing the horizons of darkness
and
breathe beyond boundaries.

perspective on transcending
limitations.
The poet emphasizes the importance of breaking berries that restrict personal growth . Boundaries in the poem may represent social norms some emotional pain or internal doubts . Through hopeful imagery and a positive tone the poem encourages to seek courage and self-belief . Really it inspires individuals to embrace change and discover their true identity.
